The following notes are meant to read be in addition to the Venue Guide which was provided with your contract.
TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS
2) All technicians must be qualified to efficiently programme an ETC Jester and in signing off this form,
the named contact on the contract confirms that the technician they have procured has the necessary skills to do the following (as a bare minimum):
Rig and move lighting safely within the theatre
Effectively programme both submasters AND standard lighting cues within the tech desk.
Use QLab
Basic sound system management (use amp and mixing desk)
**Please note** We will be unable to support your show in terms of additional technical support or staff in the event that you do not being with you a qualified technician to the theatre as part of your get in and you are advised to secure a technician well in advance of your get in. The theatre will no longer be able to provide in house technicians to support productions and we will be unable to help except in case of technical or equipment failure.
lighting controllers:
We do not allow the lighting desk to be disconnected or the DMX to be changed under any circumstances. ALL SHOWS MUST USE THE THEATRE’S JESTER LIGHTING DESK.
THEATRE GET IN / GET OUT NOTES:
Your technician AND your named contact on the contract must be present at the time of your get in. It is the responsibility of the named contact on the contract to ensure that any additional production staff (for example a director, technician or stage manager) is given both the venue guide and an overview of the requirements of the theatre prior to get in. We reserve the right to not permit any significant changes which have not been approved in terms of set, lighting or equipment if these have not been signed off in advance.
Your set must be signed off by the Duty Manager doing the get in and must not damage the theatre.
Theatre furniture (including the furniture in the dressing room) or pub theatre cannot be used as part of a set design.
No gaffer tape, blu tack or pins are permitted on the floor or walls. You may use a small amount of LX tape to spike the set but this must be removed at get out. If you need to affix something to the wall you may use small amounts of Scotch Magic Tape but again, this must be removed on get out. No other tape or fixture is permitted.
All set must be brought into the theatre via the back door / fire escape.
All lighting must be replaced in its original position on get out and the desk cleared.
The LED’s, house lights and projector are fixed installations and must not be moved.
There is a charge of £15 per day for use of the projector.
The standard theatre configuration is its U shape / thrust configuration. The theatre configuration must not be moved without prior approval and there will be a £30 charge to reconfigure the theatre seating into “end on” configuration. Any change of configuration must be approved in advance and must only be completed by L&U staff.
PLEASE NOTE: CAMDEN FRINGE OPERATES A FESTIVAL CONFIGURATION and the Theatre and Lighting Rig cannot be changed as per your contract. Please ensure all members of your team are aware of this requirements prior to your Get In.
THEATRE GET OUT NOTES:
You must vacate the theatre by the time stated on your contract (Usually Show Close + 30 mins or Show Close +60 mins on closing night).
All set must be removed on the night of your get out.
It is the VC’s responsibility to mop the floor, hoover the theatre and take out the bins in the dressing room and toilet as part of your get out.
